Brief Introduction

For the past month, I've been consistently using Cerave's Salicylic Acid lotion on my arms, where my KP is most prevalent.

Photo Update

Something that I was curious about was how further usage could continue improving my KP.

after 4-weeks of use

So, over the past two weeks, since my last update, I've been keeping my eye out for any different changes that might happen. What I observed in the first two weeks of use was diminished redness and patchiness in the underlying skin of my upper arms, and I was hoping/wondering if it could continue working on diminishing the physical bumps on my arm.

Over the last two weeks, I honestly don't think much change has occurred in regards to the physical Keratosis Pilaris bumps. I do think the redness and patchiness have continued to disappear, but something tells me the extent of the Cerave lotion is reducing the in-your-face look of having KP, which is still great!

Recommendations

For those with more severe KP, or specifically deal with redness and patchiness alongside their KP, I think this Cerave lotion is a great first step in getting a handle on it. As you can see from my results, the change was most noticeable in the first two weeks of use, and continued to slowly progress with further usage. Also, given the price and the fact that this lotion is available at pretty much any drugstore, I think it's super valuable to try out!

Next Steps

So, I still have some physical KP bumps visible on my arms, and I will be using the First Aid Beauty KP Body Scrub for the next few weeks to try to improve that. It will be slightly different since the body scrub can only be used 1-2 times a week, so I'm not too sure yet how the results will turn out time-wise. My plan is to continue this 4-week format with a 2-week update in between, with the disclaimer that I will likely continue using the Cerave SA lotion on days that I don't use the scrub. Stay tuned for a more detailed post in the upcoming days!
