What is the Cocokind Oil to Milk Cleanser?

As mentioned in the name, the Cocokind Oil to Milk cleanser uses a combination of oat and oils to softly cleanse the skin, and upon rinsing with water, the formula turns from a thicker balm consistency to a milky one. It supposedly can be used to remove makeup as well as act as a regular cleanser, but as always, I would recommend using some sort of makeup cleansing balm first.

Pros

As usual with Cocokind, one of the many pluses to this product is how clean and affordable it is. At a price tag of $25, it is comparable to many drugstore cleansers. It also has very little scent and is gentle on the skin, which is important for those with more sensitive skin. It's also important to note that it never leaves my skin feeling dry or stripped after using it like some harsher cleansers tend to do. I do think it cleanses well, but as I will discuss later, the formula isn't my favourite.

Cons

One of the first things I noticed when using this cleanser was the unique formula of it. It certainly is an oil to milk cleanser, but I find that even after rinsing it off, it leaves my skin feeling as though it has a layer of oil or film over it. I think part of that comes from its oil-based properties, and the fact that I have oily skin in some places definitely does not help. I like to feel like my skin is clean and free after cleansing, so when I use this cleanser I always have to use another cleanser after before my face feels truly cleansed. Because of this, I find myself rarely gravitating towards it, though I will mention that it has not broken me out despite this.

Rating

Quality/Effectiveness: 2.5 / 5

Value: 4 / 5

Overall: 3 / 5

Even though this cleanser is far from a favourite for me, I am still super interested in trying other Cocokind products due to the affordability and popularity of the brand (eyeing the popular serums and the AHA cleanser!). I also want to mention that so many others really like this cleanser, so as always, it comes down to a matter of opinion and preference on whether this is the right cleanser for you. For me, I still take this cleanser when travelling just because of how conveniently sized it is.
