My previous review was done for Farmacy's cleansing balm, so needless to say, been on the Farmacy hype train for a while now. So, let's get into it.

What is the Farmacy 10% Niacinamide Night Mask?

Farmacy's 10% Niacinamide Night Mask is a PM mask, meaning it is a little thicker since it is meant to last throughout the night. It aims to smooth out skin texture and minimize the size of pores, as well as overall making skin more supple. Some key ingredients are niacinamide (Vitamin B3), pantheon (Vitamin B5), and upcycled blueberry seed oil.

Pros

I use this mask about 3 times a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) and it is a staple in my "self-care" skincare days. When applying the mask, it begins absorbing pretty quickly, and I find that likely patting the product in after applying helps speed up the process. On nights that I use this mask, I always wake up the next morning with especially plump and smooth-looking skin.

I also really like how a little can go a long way with this product. In the images above, I'd been using the night mask for almost two months (2-3 times a week), and it looks barely used! Naturally, others might pile on the mask a little more than I do, but I've found that two pea-sized amount of the product is more than enough to cover my cheeks, forehead, and chin area.

Also note the product is fragrance-free, which is always a plus for people with sensitivity to that.

Cons

Prior to purchasing the mask and looking at the reviews, I saw two main complaints. The first was that the mask was too oily and made the skin feel too oily immediately after application. It is certainly true that it makes my skin feel a little greasy initially, however after 5-10 minutes that greasy feeling diminishes significantly as the product begins to absorb into your skin. Another complaint I was seeing was that the mask left some sort of white residue on pillow cases overnight, though I did not experience this (possibly because I don't use too much product).

In terms of results, I haven't noticed any long-term significant changes in my skin, other than super soft and smooth skin the mornings after I use the mask. To be fair though, I have no issues with enlarged pores or textured skin, so it is difficult to observe changes related to those skin problems.

Rating

Quality/Effectiveness: 4 / 5

Value: 4.5 / 5

Overall: 4 / 5

This is certainly one of my favourite night masks, and I will likely continue to use and repurchase it since I find one jar lasts so long and makes my skin feel good overall, however there are likely other niacinamide and vitamin B-based skincare products that are more affordable that yield similar results (looking at the Ordinary serums, the Inkey List products, etc.). A fun bonus is that the packaging feels super heavy and luxurious!
